Welcome to my website,
My name is Jesse Williams, and I have spent much of my life collecting, preserving, and interpreting historic objects with the long-term goal of creating a living history museum. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of cultural institutions, preservation organizations, and community partners, all rooted in a shared commitment to safeguarding history and making it meaningful for contemporary audiences.
This site serves as both a professional portfolio and a personal space—part résumé, part digital exhibit, and part reflection of who I am and what I value. At its core, it represents my passion for sharing history in ways that educate, entertain, and invite curiosity. I strive to create environments that are safe, inclusive, and welcoming to all, where history can be explored with openness and joy.
While much of my professional background is in museum work, I currently serve as Front of House Manager at the historic Tennessee Theatre, where I design engaging public-facing displays that enhance the audience experience and encourage deeper connection to the venue’s history. I am also pursuing a bachelor’s degree in History, continuing my commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.
I hope to return fully to museum education and curation in the future. For now, I invite you to explore my work, discover East Tennessee through a historic lens, and join me in celebrating the stories—both big and small—that shape the places we love..
